Classes are so boring

Classes can feel really dull sometimes. It’s frustrating when we spend what feels like forever revisiting a concept we covered in depth just a week ago, especially after taking detailed notes and reviewing it multiple times. What do you do to keep yourself occupied during those stretches?

  1. I totally get that! It can be really tough to stay engaged when you’re going over things you’ve already mastered. Here are a few ideas for passing the time during those review sessions:

    1. Doodle or Sketch: Sometimes, tapping into your creative side can help keep your mind engaged while you listen.

    2. Read Ahead: If you have a textbook or notes for upcoming lessons, you could read ahead and familiarize yourself with the material.

    3. Set Personal Goals: Use the time to set goals for the next week, whether it’s academic or personal. Reflect on what you want to achieve.

    4. Organize Your Notes: Take some time to organize or highlight your notes to make them clearer for future reference.

    5. Mindfulness: Practice some mindfulness techniques. Focus on your breathing or try to visualize the concepts being discussed in a new way.

    6. Plan Your Schedule: Use the time to plan out your week or make a to-do list. Getting organized can help you manage your time better.

    7. Catch Up on Emails: If it’s appropriate, you could check your emails or messages, just to keep things productive.

Just remember to stay respectful and engaged enough to still follow along, in case the discussion takes an interesting turn!
