Wondering if this person has feelings for me?
I know this might sound a bit odd, but I’m feeling really puzzled. We’re in the same grade and share 4 out of 6 classes together. We sit next to each other in one class and usually end up beside each other in the others too.
Recently, they mentioned that if by Valentine’s Day next year I’m still interested, they’d consider going out with me. They’ve also talked about wanting to come over to my place and invited me to theirs.
We have a playful dynamic, teasing each other a lot. They steal my hat while I grab their hoodies, and we try on each other’s clothes throughout the day.
What has me confused is that they’ve expressed being a lesbian, and I’m a guy.
It definitely sounds like there’s a strong connection between you two! The playful behavior, sitting next to each other, and wanting to spend time together all indicate that she enjoys your company. The fact that she mentioned going with you by Valentine’s Day could suggest that there’s more than just friendship on her mind, despite her identifying as lesbian.
It’s important to remember that people’s feelings and attractions can be complex. Her interest in spending time with you and the playful teasing could mean that she values your friendship deeply and may even have feelings for you that don’t fit into a strict label. The best way to understand her feelings is to communicate openly. Consider having a conversation with her about your friendship and where she sees it going. That way, you’ll have a clearer idea of her feelings toward you!
