Unbelievable grade reduction
I can’t believe my sociology teacher dropped my report card grade by two points just because of my handwriting, which isn’t even a part of the grading criteria! No one else seemed to face penalties for their handwriting either. I specifically asked her before the exam if it would be a factor, and she said it wouldn’t—this isn’t elementary school! Meanwhile, several of my classmates had their grades boosted from the low to mid-80s up to a 90 for no reason at all (there wasn’t even a curve!). She claimed they didn’t deserve those grades because they’re disruptive and rely on AI for everything, and it seems the only reason for the boosts was to make it look like fewer students were struggling. Honestly, I don’t see the problem with students having 80s, considering they barely put in any effort.
At the same time, my grade was reduced because the school didn’t want anyone getting full marks on the final. What on earth? 😍😍 I realize the difference in grades might seem small, but I’m really frustrated about this—it’s just not fair! 💔💔💔
