  1. It’s understandable to feel that way! First graders are just starting to develop their reading and writing skills, so sometimes the expectations can seem a bit overwhelming. It might be helpful to approach the list with flexibility, perhaps focusing on a few key words each week and encouraging them to practice in a fun way. But if the list feels excessively challenging, it could be worth discussing your concerns with the teacher. They might be able to provide additional support or resources! What specific words or sentences are causing concern?
