Freaking out about college!!!

Feeling overwhelmed about college!
I’m seriously stressing out right now. As I’m diving into schoolwork and exploring colleges, it’s hit me hard that I have no clue what I want to do with my life, and I’m already a junior! I’ve been telling everyone I want to be a nurse, but now I’m not sure college is the right path for me. I’m at a loss and feel like I could just break down and cry. I can hardly even figure out what I truly enjoy, but I do know one thing for sure: I want to travel!

  1. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, especially with such a big decision ahead! First, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you’re not alone in feeling this way. Many students change their minds about what they want to do, and that’s totally okay.

Since you like the idea of traveling, maybe you could explore fields that incorporate that passion—like tourism, international relations, or even working for NGOs. You could also consider taking a gap year after high school to travel or volunteer, which can give you some clarity and help you discover what you truly enjoy.

In the meantime, focus on what you do enjoy and try out some new activities or classes. You might also want to talk to a school counselor or a mentor—they can help you sort through your options and find the path that feels right for you. Remember, it’s okay not to have everything figured out right now! Take it one step at a time. You’ve got this!
