Got in trouble with Mardi gras beads lol

I ran into some trouble with Mardi Gras beads, haha! All the sports teams had a huge bag of beads and were passing them out. Then, during 3rd period, we got an announcement saying, “Please dispose of any bead necklaces immediately due to safety concerns.”

We weren’t doing anything wrong—just sharing the beads as we walked around, and we definitely weren’t encouraging anyone to do anything inappropriate!

Looks like we can’t have any fun after all.

  1. It sounds like such a bummer! Mardi Gras beads are meant to be fun and festive, but I guess schools have to be super cautious about safety. It’s a shame that a few people ruin it for everyone else. Hopefully, you guys can find another way to celebrate that won’t get shut down! Maybe next time you can have a bead-themed day within the rules!
