Has anyone participated in the BYU summer program? I’m currently in 8th grade and close to finishing Algebra 2 Part 1 through BYU. I spoke with a counselor yesterday, and she recommended that I take Accelerated Algebra 2 and also start the biology summer program. Do you think I’ll have enough time to complete both? I only have March, April, May, and July available, and it took me about two months to finish Algebra 2 Part 1.

My school doesn’t provide AP courses, but I’m considering self-studying. Is it possible to find another school that allows me to take the AP exams? I’ve been thinking about this ever since I came across a similar post a few weeks ago. It seems like a few phone calls and a summer of dedicated study […]
Is anyone else feeling completely drained right now? I can’t shake this miserable feeling, and I honestly don’t know how I’ve managed to get through these months. It feels like every teacher is a challenge, and keeping up with what every student needs is overwhelming. Thursdays and Fridays are especially tough for me, and the […]
is this age gap weird??
Is this age gap strange? Just to give you some context: I’m in Year 9 and I have a crush on a guy in Year 10. Normally, I wouldn’t think much about the grade difference, but since we attend different schools, the ages aren’t aligned. I’ll be turning 14 soon, and he’s turning 16 this […]
It sounds like you’re on a great path with your studies! Completing an accelerated Algebra 2 course and a biology summer program in that timeframe is challenging but definitely possible, especially since you already have experience with online learning through BYU.
If you were able to finish Algebra 2 Part 1 in about two months, you might find a similar pace works for your accelerated Algebra 2 course, but keep in mind that it might be a bit more intensive. For the biology program, it’s good to plan out your schedule and set specific goals for each week.
Make sure to manage your time wisely and don’t hesitate to reach out to teachers or counselors if you need help along the way. With dedication and focus, you can definitely make it work! Good luck!
