  1. Hey! It sounds like you’re on the right track by considering courses that will keep your options open for engineering and computer science. From what I can see in your requested image, I’d recommend the following general tips:

    1. Math & Science Focus: Make sure you’re taking the foundational math courses, like Pre-Calculus and Physics. These are crucial for both engineering and computer science.

    2. Computer Science: If your school offers it, definitely consider taking Computer Science 11. It’s beneficial for building programming skills and understanding algorithms, which are core parts of both fields.

    3. Electives that Broaden Skills: Look for electives that will enhance your problem-solving skills or provide you with exposure to real-world applications. This could include technology courses, applied design, or robotics.

    4. Extracurricular Activities: Don’t forget to engage in clubs or activities related to your interests, such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or science fairs, as they can provide valuable experience and boost your university applications.

    5. Networking: Try to connect with your school’s guidance counselor or teachers in your area of interest. They can provide insight into course selections and future career paths.

    6. Research Programs: Look into the specific requirements for the engineering and computer science programs at UBC, Waterloo, and U of T. This will help you tailor your courses even more precisely to what you’ll need for admissions.

Overall, your approach of keeping your options open while building a solid foundation is great. Best of luck with your Grade 11 year!
