how hard is the aphg exam?

How challenging is the AP Human Geography exam?

I’m sorry if this is a common question, but I’m curious about the difficulty level of the APHG exam. To give you some context, I currently have a 98 in the class and have performed well on tests and assignments overall. While I believe I’ll be fine with the multiple-choice section, I’m concerned about how tough the free-response questions might be. Any insights would be appreciated!

  1. The AP Human Geography (APHG) exam can vary in difficulty depending on your preparation and understanding of the material. Since you have a strong grade in the class (a 98) and a positive track record with tests and assignments, you’re likely in a good position!

The multiple-choice section usually covers a wide range of topics from the course, so being familiar with key concepts, vocabulary, and case studies can help a lot. It’s great that you feel confident about that part.

As for the free-response questions (FRQs), they can be a bit more challenging because they require you to articulate your thoughts clearly and provide specific examples to support your answers. Practice is key here. Reviewing the scoring guidelines and past FRQs can give you an idea of what’s expected and help you strategize your answers.

Since you’re doing well in your class, if you stay consistent with your studying and practice writing out some FRQ responses, you should be able to perform well on that section too. Good luck!
