I’m currently facing a tough situation with one of my professors, who speaks with a heavy accent that makes it difficult for me to understand him. It feels like I’m struggling to catch any of his lectures. To make matters worse, the workload is overwhelming—there’s an excessive amount of assignments due within a week. With three other classes on my plate, I can’t dedicate my entire life to this one course.

I’ve found myself unable to take notes because I’m too busy trying to keep up with all the assignments. Instead, I’ve been relying on ChatGPT to help me answer questions since I’m struggling to grasp the material. I feel like I’m just rushing through everything to meet deadlines without truly learning. I understand this is a college-level course, but I’ve never experienced such a frantic pace in my academic journey before. Right now, I’m facing around 60 tasks—including videos, labs, notes, and questions—to complete by next week. It’s exhausting, and we’ve barely just started the semester.

Unfortunately, dropping this class isn’t an option as we’ve passed the add/drop period, and it’s required for my major. I previously dropped another class after the professor’s yelling became unbearable and caused significant stress. I really need advice on how to cope with this situation for the next few months.
