It feels like this place is just designed to make kids sick. I’m in junior high, and the number of times I’ve fallen ill is unbelievable! Right now, I’m dealing with a viral infection, and just two months ago, I had both the flu and strep throat. Back in sixth grade, I had to miss my very first orchestra lesson on the viola because I caught COVID. I was so excited to learn, and it was such a disappointment. I even had to skip my brother’s birthday dinner because I was unwell. Now, when I get home, I immediately wash my hands, take off my socks, and I refuse to get under my covers because I feel so dirty. Yet, despite all that, I still end up getting sick. Seriously, what is going on? 😭
