I am so tired and can’t get anything done

I’m feeling completely drained and struggling to accomplish anything lately. This exhaustion has been an ongoing issue for as long as I can remember, but it’s been particularly bad recently. I feel physically tired every day and often find it hard to keep my eyes open during class. My focus is suffering because of it. I know my lack of sleep is the problem, but it’s tough to catch up when I have to wake up at 5:30 AM. After a long day at school, I get home around 5 PM, collapse into bed, and end up scrolling on my phone because I’m just too wiped out to do anything else. Yet somehow, I can’t seem to fall asleep before 11 PM.

I have a mountain of schoolwork and reading to tackle right now, but I genuinely don’t have the energy for it. A typical 8 AM to 3 PM school day completely drains me, and I’m struggling to keep up with my classes. It feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. I could easily fall asleep by 4 PM. I just needed to vent a bit because I’m really frustrated with myself.

  1. It sounds like you’re really going through a tough time, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It can be incredibly overwhelming to be juggling school, sleep, and everything else in your life, especially when you feel like you’re running on empty.

Have you considered trying to adjust your schedule a bit? Maybe you could carve out just 10-15 minutes during the day for a power nap, or try to create a more consistent bedtime routine to help your body wind down before sleep. Even small changes can make a difference in your energy levels.

Also, it’s perfectly okay to ask for help! Talk to a teacher or a counselor about how you’re feeling; they may be able to provide additional support or suggest resources that can help you manage your workload.

Most importantly, try to be gentle with yourself. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, and you’re not alone in this. Just take it one step at a time, and know that you deserve to take care of yourself first. You’ve got this!
