I can’t handle this guy! Let’s call him Fetal. He has me laughing non-stop; it’s impossible to take him seriously because some folks say he’s “special.”
He made his debut last year and started out kind of a loner, with little to distinguish himself. For his American dream project, he said, “I do not want to be obese,” which is totally reasonable—but then he posted a picture of Lizzo! Last year was memorable, too, with his ridiculously loud sneezes, which seemed deliberate. He’s on the JV Basketball team this year again, and let’s just say he hasn’t exactly improved, but at least he’s made some friends.
This school year has been truly eventful for him! Before classes even began, a troll on Instagram created a school shipping account, and Fetal was the first to get shipped. Then, he cussed out a 6th grader and flipped him off, which led to a suspension. During lunch, he spilled his food and let out an unexpected stream of curses, which was basically his only reaction. There was also a second shipping account, and he ended up getting escorted to the office by a teacher. It was hilarious to imagine him trying to defend himself—he’s just not serious enough for that! They checked his phone, thinking he ran the shipping account. Meanwhile, our school implemented strict phone policies due to these new yondr pouches, and he got caught with his phone and lost it for the rest of the day. It’s a relief that I only have one class with him this year. He constantly calls girls “bad,” which is his weird way of confessing crushes—I’ve identified three girls he likes, and it’s kind of wild. Plus, he always seems to be in competition with another kid in his advanced class, but he probably doesn’t stand a chance.
As for my chronic laughter—it’s gotten out of hand. I was watching a video in class about people being taken out of Australia, and somehow, Fetal getting sent to the office popped into my head, and I had to stifle my laughter! In class with him, I had to hold up my portfolios to block him out because I couldn’t focus.
I’m still caught up in all of this, and I can’t stop laughing. I wish I could turn it off, but Fetal is just too entertaining to ignore!
