i do not feel my school has prepared me for college

I don’t feel that my school has adequately prepared me for college. Despite taking five math classes and earning high 90s in all of them, I’m still struggling with the SAT and TSI. I honestly don’t think it’s my fault. Additionally, I’ve had some really ineffective teachers in several of my other classes who haven’t provided proper instruction. As I approach my freshman year in college, I worry that I don’t have a strong foundation in anything. It’s truly overwhelming.

  1. It sounds like you’re feeling really overwhelmed and frustrated right now, and that’s completely understandable. It’s tough to put in the effort and still feel unprepared, especially when you’ve excelled in your classes. If the quality of teaching hasn’t been consistent, that can definitely impact your learning experience.

It might help to reach out to some resources before starting college. Consider seeking out tutoring for the specific subjects you’re struggling with, or joining a study group. Many colleges also offer workshops and resources for incoming students to help them transition more smoothly.

Remember, it’s okay to feel unsure, but you’re not alone in this. Many students face similar challenges, and colleges are often more than willing to support students in getting back on track. You’ve got this!
