I’ve reached my breaking point.
As a senior set to graduate in just a few months, my grades are strong, and I hardly ever receive C’s. However, school has been overwhelming lately. Since transitioning to online classes due to COVID, a few months ago, my teacher made a mistake that left me two full semesters behind. After crunching the numbers, I’ve realized that I’d need to put in 8 hours of work every day, including weekends and holidays, just to stay on track for graduation. I’ve never felt as tempted to drop out as I do right now. 😭
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds incredibly overwhelming, especially in your senior year when there’s so much pressure to graduate. First, I want you to know that it’s completely okay to feel frustrated and discouraged.
Have you had a chance to talk to your teacher or a school counselor about your situation? They might be able to help you find a solution or provide some support. Sometimes schools have options for accelerated programs or extra help that could lighten your load.
Don’t lose sight of all the hard work you’ve put in to get to this point. It might help to break down the work into smaller, more manageable tasks so it feels less daunting. Remember, you’re not alone in this—many students have faced similar challenges, especially with the changes brought by online schooling. It’s okay to reach out for help and lean on your support system. You’ve got this!
