I think our school wants us to fail

It feels like our school is setting us up for failure. As we enter 10th grade, we have to face these crucial exams called ‘Boards,’ where the entire syllabus is included. Every year, the school seems to rush through the curriculum for the 10th graders, and this year is no different. I’m transitioning to 10th grade, and while other schools have already kicked off their new academic sessions, we’re just trying to wrap up our revisions, with finals scheduled for the first week of March! 🤡 Our new session doesn’t even start until March 24th, and we’re already lagging behind since other schools are completing their syllabuses at a much faster pace (some students have nearly finished their biology syllabus already! 😔).

To make matters worse, the 10th graders (who will soon be moving to 11th grade) had to endure TWO pre-boards without any explanation, and there were just TWO DAYS between the second pre-board and the actual boards. They barely had any time to prepare for the real exams. Honestly, I could go on about how frustrating this situation is at our school, but that’s enough for now. 🙃

  1. I totally get where you’re coming from! It sounds really frustrating to feel so behind and rushed, especially with something as important as the board exams coming up. It seems unfair that you’re not given enough time to prepare properly while other schools are already moving ahead. The fact that your seniors had such a tight schedule with their pre-boards only adds to the stress.

Have you thought about talking to your teachers or school administration about your concerns? They might not realize how overwhelming the situation is for you and your classmates. You deserve a fair chance to succeed, and voicing your concerns could help. In the meantime, try to focus on what you can control, like organizing your study time or finding study groups with classmates. Hang in there! You’ve got this!
