I’m feeling overwhelmed and scared right now. I’m 18 and currently attending HCC. I managed to pass most of my classes last semester, except for a math class that’s meant for students who didn’t pass the TSI.
Now that I’m in my second semester, I’m struggling in almost all of my classes.
In U.S. History, I really enjoy the subject, but I’m having a hard time keeping track of assignments like tests and essays.
Math is even tougher for me. I’ve got notes from my previous class, but I still struggle to remember to complete the work on Canvas.
And in Composition 2, I’m feeling really lost. Writing is not my strong suit—I barely passed Composition 1. My teacher is nice, but his grading is quite strict. Plus, I’m facing the same issue of forgetting to do assignments on Canvas.
What can I do? I really need help, especially because I don’t want to drop out. I’m worried about disappointing my mom if I can’t earn a degree in music.
