I’m trying to move to Japan

I’m planning to move to Japan

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to relocate to Japan for a teaching position. I’ve discovered that I need a TEFL certification and a bachelor’s degree. Since there are no specific requirements for the type of bachelor’s degree, I’m looking for the most cost-effective option available. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. That’s exciting that you’re looking to move to Japan and teach! Since you have the flexibility to choose any bachelor’s degree, consider pursuing one that aligns with low-cost options or is more accessible for you. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. English or Education: If you’re looking to keep it relevant to teaching, degrees in English or Education are beneficial, and many universities offer affordable online programs.

    2. Liberal Arts: A liberal arts degree can be versatile and often more affordable, as many community colleges offer associate degrees that can later be transferred to a university for a bachelor’s.

    3. Business Administration: This is another broad degree that is commonly offered and can lead to many opportunities outside teaching as well.

    4. Online Degrees: Look for accredited online programs from universities that offer lower tuition rates. Some may also have flexible schedules, allowing you to work while studying.

Don’t forget to consider scholarship opportunities, community colleges, or state universities that often have lower tuition fees, especially for in-state students. Good luck with your plans to move to Japan!
