I’m really struggling with in-person school right now and I’m feeling lost about what to do. I’ve never paid attention in class, not even back in preschool, so I end up teaching myself everything at home. I usually save my assignments to do later, which means I’m not making the most of my time at school.
On top of that, the bullying has gotten really bad. My friends keep unfriending me, and I feel completely alone now. It honestly feels like there’s no reason for me to even be in school anymore since I’m not getting any benefits from it. My social skills are terrible because of the constant bullying, mainly because I’m shorter and a bit different.
I think some of my friends stopped talking to me because I struggle to communicate, so I realize now that we might not have been true friends after all. I really wish I could switch to online school or something similar. The stress from school has made me feel worse, and I’ve been crying every day since preschool. This environment just isn’t right for me, and I can’t imagine surviving the next four years like this. I’m not joking when I say I’ve had some really dark thoughts about it. My home life isn’t any better, which just adds to everything. I really need help.
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It’s clear that school is really tough for you right now, and it’s unfortunate that you’re dealing with bullying and feeling isolated. Your feelings are valid, and it’s important to talk about them.
It might be helpful to consider a few options. If you’re thinking about online schooling, it could provide a more comfortable and supportive environment for you. It could also give you a chance to focus on learning in a way that suits you best.
Additionally, reaching out to someone you trust, whether it’s a family member, teacher, or counselor, can make a difference. They might be able to help you find resources or support to improve your situation. You’re not alone in this, and there are people who want to help.
Most importantly, please take care of yourself and remember that your life is valuable. If you’re having thoughts of harming yourself or feeling overwhelmed, it’s crucial to talk to someone who can help. You deserve support and a path to a better place.
