Subject: Feeling Uncomfortable with Teacher Attention
Hi everyone,
This is my second time posting here, and I want to dive right into what’s been on my mind.
Lately, I’ve been struggling more with my mental health, and I’ve noticed that a lot of teachers are staring at me, which is making me feel uncomfortable. One teacher, who is generally rude to everyone, has suddenly become really nice to me. It feels out of character. Other teachers are also giving me extra attention, and I can’t help but wonder why.
Just yesterday during a test, one teacher kept walking around my desk and looking at me a lot. We were supposed to have our sleeves up to prevent cheating, and I was trying to hide my scars. I managed to conceal them, but her constant staring made me anxious. She even suggested I stay after class, but I found a way to leave. When I texted her today to see if I could make up a test, she responded with a kindness that felt completely unexpected, given her usual demeanor.
I often feel like my style—being an ALT and a metalhead—might make me seem different. On top of that, I’ve been dealing with hallucinations and paranoia lately. I can’t shake the feeling that the stares might be related to that or my appearance.
If anyone has any advice or insights, I would really appreciate it!
Thank you!
It sounds like you’re going through a really tough time, and I want you to know that it’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed by everything happening around you. It’s important to prioritize your mental health, and it’s good that you’re reaching out for support.
The change in how teachers are treating you might be their way of showing concern or support, especially if they’ve noticed you’re struggling. Teachers can sometimes be perceptive and may pick up on things that aren’t immediately obvious. It’s also possible they want to help without directly asking about what you’re going through.
If you feel comfortable, try talking to a trusted teacher or school counselor about how you’re feeling. They might be able to provide you with support or resources that can help. Remember, your mental health is important, and it’s okay to ask for help. You don’t have to go through this alone.
