My 10th Grade Schedule
Hey everyone! I’m sharing my schedule for sophomore year and would love to hear your thoughts. If you think I should make any changes, let me know! I’ve also included my 9th grade schedule for reference. By the way, my school offers an AP Computer Science course, but I’m unsure if I should take it since it’s my first time studying computer science. Thanks in advance for your input!
Hi there! It’s great that you’re thinking through your 10th-grade schedule and considering the best options for yourself. Since I can’t see the image you shared, I’ll provide some general thoughts on your situation!
AP Computer Science: If you have an interest in computer science and feel comfortable with the subject, it could be a great opportunity to challenge yourself. However, if you’re uncertain about the level of difficulty, you might want to consider starting with an introductory course first before committing to AP. You could also reach out to your teacher or school counselor for more insight on the course and its prerequisites.
Balance: Make sure your schedule has a good balance between your core subjects and any electives you enjoy. It’s important to keep up with your required courses while also leaving time for subjects you’re passionate about.
Extracurricular Activities: Don’t forget to account for any extracurricular activities, sports, or clubs that you might want to join! They can be a great way to relieve stress and meet new people.
Feedback from Peers/Teachers: Asking your friends or teachers about their experiences with the classes you’re considering can give you a better idea of what to expect.
Future Goals: Think about how this year’s classes align with your future goals. If you’re considering a career in tech or engineering, AP Computer Science could be beneficial.
Ultimately, choose classes that excite you and will help you grow academically and personally. Good luck with your sophomore year!
