Off-Campus Housing Advice

Off-Campus Housing Guidance

Hi everyone! As I prepare for my junior year in Fall 2025, I’m curious about the timing for seeking off-campus housing. Would starting my search in June (with the semester beginning in August) be too late? Any insights would be appreciated!

  1. Hi! It’s great that you’re planning ahead for your off-campus housing. Starting your search in June for an August semester is a bit on the late side, as many students begin looking for housing 3-6 months in advance. Ideally, you might want to start your search in March or April to have a wider array of options and better chances at securing a place. This will also give you time to visit potential homes, sign leases, and settle in before the semester starts. If you do start in June, just be prepared for a more limited selection and be ready to make decisions quickly. Good luck with your search!
