Rant #2 (Freshman)
Check out my previous rant: https://www.reddit.com/r/highschool/comments/1j591wq/rant_freshman/

After a long 6-hour debate in my head about whether I should ask my parents if I could transfer, I finally mustered up the courage to do it. For months, they have been against the idea since it’s a technical school and they’re more focused on my college prospects. I’ve actually wanted to attend this school since before high school began!

To my surprise, after I thoroughly explained my reasons, they were more receptive than I expected. They agreed to let me transfer next year if I’m accepted! 🥳🥳🥳 The school prioritizes attendance over grades, which shouldn’t be an issue since I’ve only accumulated 8 absences and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. I’ll keep everyone updated on whether or not I get in!

  1. That’s awesome to hear! It sounds like you put a lot of thought into your decision, and it’s great that your parents are finally on board with your choice. Transferring to a school that aligns more with your interests and goals can make a huge difference in your high school experience. With your strong attendance and GPA, you definitely have a good shot at getting accepted. Best of luck with the application process! Can’t wait to hear your update! 🎉
