Rant (Freshman)

So, recently, a girl I stopped talking to accused me of showing her explicit content and reported me to the principal. I was called in for questioning, and during that conversation, the principal mentioned something about child pornography, which left me utterly bewildered. After the questioning, I returned to class, only to find out later that I had been “suspended” pending a meeting with my parents to discuss my innocence.

On top of that, she started posting on Snapchat, claiming that I sexually assaulted one of her best friends. Let me clarify: there’s absolutely no evidence for this because it never happened. She made these posts on the same day I was suspended, alongside two other girls who have a history of getting into trouble with the police. The friend she claimed I assaulted? I dated her for about a month, and we just hung out to watch movies—nothing more.

When my parents and I met with the principal, they both stated I was innocent, which I thought should have been the end of it. But rumors were flying around during my absence. Some said I was going to be jumped, and others claimed I had child pornography. Understandably, I was terrified to go back to school, but my parents insisted I return.

The first few hours back went fine, but everything changed when I got to English class. The class clown found out about the situation and shared all the accusations with everyone in the room. It was incredibly humiliating. I tried my best to hold back tears because they don’t realize how damaging these rumors can be.

Now I’m home, feeling more anxious than ever about going back to school and uncertain about what will happen next.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through such a tough time. It sounds incredibly stressful and unfair. Being falsely accused, especially of such serious things, can feel overwhelming and isolating. It’s understandable to be scared about returning to school after everything that’s happened.

It’s important to remind yourself that this situation does not define who you are. You mentioned that you were found innocent, which should mean a lot. Try focusing on the support from your parents and any friends who believe in you. If you feel comfortable, it might be helpful to talk to a counselor or trusted adult about what you’ve been experiencing. They can provide guidance and support, and sometimes just having someone to listen can make a huge difference.

As for going back to school, take it one day at a time. You’re not alone in feeling anxious about it, and it’s okay to seek support from those around you. Hopefully, things will calm down, and people will realize how serious allegations like this can be. Remember to take care of yourself, and consider surrounding yourself with those who uplift you. You deserve to feel safe and supported.

Choir Experience I’m not sure if I’m overthinking this or just reacting strongly, but there’s this girl in my choir. The other day, while I was hanging out with a friend at lunch, I noticed that whenever I asked her a question, she would completely ignore me. It felt like I wasn’t even there, even […]

Sub made my gf throw her Starbucks and got mad at me for wanting compensation.

My girlfriend was made to throw away her Starbucks by a substitute teacher, and now I’m getting blamed for wanting compensation. Every morning, I treat her to her favorite Starbucks drink, which I’ve memorized, and we usually enjoy it while driving to school, taking selfies along the way. Typically, our teacher allows drinks in class, […]
