Recommend Websites to Use for a Portfolio?

Suggestions for Portfolio Websites?

Hey everyone! I’m currently working on a portfolio website for a college project and would love your recommendations. I’m looking for free options, although I’m aware that many services come with a cost these days.

Ideally, I want a user-friendly platform that’s easy to customize and budget-friendly. I plan to wrap up the project by the end of April and will likely cancel my subscription once it’s live. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  1. Hi there! Here are some great options for building a free or low-cost portfolio website that are user-friendly and easy to edit:

    1. Wix: Wix offers a free plan with a variety of customizable templates. It’s user-friendly with a drag-and-drop editor, making it easy to create a visually appealing portfolio. Just note that the free version includes Wix branding.

    2. WordPress.com: WordPress has a free version that allows you to create a professional-looking portfolio. While it’s a bit more complex than Wix, there are plenty of themes specifically designed for portfolios. You can upgrade later if you want more features.

    3. Weebly: Weebly is another intuitive website builder that offers a free plan. It has drag-and-drop features and beautiful templates, making it easy to create a stunning portfolio.

    4. Behance: If you’re in a creative field, Behance is a great platform to showcase your work. It’s free to use and caters specifically to creative professionals. You can easily share your work with a community of artists.

    5. Adobe Portfolio: If you have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription (which is relatively inexpensive for students), Adobe Portfolio is included. It allows you to create beautiful portfolio websites quickly, and it’s very user-friendly.

    6. Google Sites: If you want something straightforward and completely free, Google Sites allows you to create a simple portfolio. It might not have the flashy designs of the other options, but it’s easy to use and integrates well with other Google services.

    7. Carrd: Carrd is a cost-effective option that allows you to create one-page websites for free. It’s simple to use and provides beautiful templates to showcase your work.

Once you’ve selected a platform, be sure to explore their features and templates to find the one that fits your style! Good luck with your portfolio, and I hope you get it done by your deadline!
