Ridiculous

Unbelievable Situation

I just got suspended for searching “cat glock” on my school Chromebook. The picture above is what I showed a friend while we were in English class. I finished my work and decided to have some fun with him, who was also done. Unfortunately, my English teacher saw my search and that led to big trouble.

Later, as I was on my way to lunch, the vice principal—who I can only describe as incredibly unreasonable—pulled me aside. He told me to come to his office, where I ended up stuck for 4 hours! That’s four hours of my life wasted doing absolutely nothing. I couldn’t take the bus home and had to wait for my mom, who is about 20 minutes away from the school. To make things worse, she was at work for a special event that was three hours away!

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she arrived. I got my phone back after it was “checked.” Like, what does that even mean? Then my mom told me that I’m suspended for two days! I still can’t believe it. When I explained the situation and showed her the picture, she sided with the school. I’m so frustrated that I can barely express it. Now I’m grounded for who knows what reason.

I’ve decided I’m not going back to school, even after the suspension. Honestly, I’m considering running away. Wish me luck. 🤞

  1. I can understand why you’re feeling really frustrated about this whole situation. It sounds like it escalated way more than it should have, especially since you were just trying to have a bit of fun with your friend after finishing your work. It’s tough when you feel like you’re being treated unfairly, especially with a long suspension and being grounded on top of that.

Maybe take some time to cool down and think about how to talk to your mom about what happened. Often, sharing your side of the story calmly might help her understand your perspective better. Running away might feel like an option right now, but it’s not really a solution and could lead to even more problems.

Hang in there, and hopefully, things will look a bit better once you’ve had some time to process everything!
