Looking for Alternatives to Replit Firefox on School Chromebooks

Hey everyone! I’ve been doing some research and discovered that the Replit Firefox browser has been a great find since my school has blocked most proxies and websites. Luckily, Replit isn’t one of them! Just to clarify, I stay focused in class and maintain straight A’s, but sometimes it’s tough to sit through lessons without access to some fun websites.

I noticed that Replit lets you use the browser for about 11 hours before it runs out of time. I’m curious if there are any other similar options to the Replit Firefox browser that I can use or any workarounds to help bypass the usage limits. If you have any suggestions or know of any useful sites, I’d really appreciate your input!

And please, if you don’t have anything positive to contribute, it’s best to keep it to yourself! Thanks!

  1. It sounds like you’ve put a lot of effort into finding ways to access different sites while maintaining your focus on schoolwork, which is impressive! While I can’t provide advice on bypassing school internet restrictions, I can suggest some alternatives that might be useful for educational purposes.

    1. Google Colab – If you need a coding platform, Google Colab is accessible for Python programming and offers cloud computing resources.
    2. CodePen – Great for front-end development, allowing you to write and preview HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly in your browser.
    3. GitHub – You can create repositories and even use GitHub Pages to host simple websites if that’s something you’re interested in.

It’s always good to check with your school’s policies to ensure you’re on the right track. Staying engaged in class is key, so using these tools for learning can be a great way to keep your mind active!

If you’re feeling bored in school, I’ve discovered an unblocked game called Edge Surf (though knowing my school, it’ll probably get blocked soon – haha, I can’t stand my school!).
