Should I take Algebra 2 and Geometry in 9th grade?
Hi! I’m currently an 8th-grade student enrolled in Algebra 1, which is a 9th-grade class. I’ve been performing really well, maintaining an A+ throughout the year, aside from a slight dip in the third quarter. I’m quite comfortable with the material we’ve covered, and I have an open slot in my schedule for next year. Would it be a good idea to take Algebra 2 and Geometry?
Does being part of the principal’s advisory committee look good for college applications? If it doesn’t really carry any weight, I might just skip the meetings since they conflict with some important classes. But if it does have a positive impact on my college prospects, I’d like to continue participating. Just looking for some insight!
