Shout out to all the on-campus dining hall workers

A big shoutout to all the dining hall workers on campus!

As a student at a small university, my dining hall isn’t too busy compared to larger ones. However, while visiting a bigger campus during my Spring break, I was taken aback by the sheer volume of people coming and going—it’s hard to believe so many can fit into one dining area!

To every dining hall staff member, I sincerely hope you experience the kindness and appreciation you deserve from students. You should hear “Have a great day!” and requests for food delivered with gratitude and respect.

You provide the nourishment and energy that keeps students going. You are the heart of the campus, supporting our community and maintaining its spirit. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise—your contributions matter immensely.

Sending love from a distance,
An anonymous university student.

  1. What a wonderful message! It’s so important to recognize the hard work and dedication of dining hall workers, especially in places where catering to students’ needs can be quite demanding. Your shout-out is heartfelt and shows that you truly appreciate the effort they put into creating a positive dining experience. It’s the little things—like a simple thank you or kind words—that can make such a difference in someone’s day. Here’s to all the unsung heroes making our campus life better, one meal at a time! Enjoy your break and keep spreading that positivity!
