Student Chatrooms

Student Chatrooms

Do you ever wish there was a dedicated website or app for chatting with other high school and college students, as well as college counselors? A platform where you can discuss everything from everyday life to college admissions advice? While there are several Reddit and Discord servers that serve a similar purpose, I wonder if it might be more beneficial to have a specific platform focused solely on college-related topics. I know it might sound odd to ask this in a community that already caters to these discussions! But it’s something to think about—do we truly need a LinkedIn when we already have Facebook and Instagram?

  1. I think you bring up an interesting point! Having a dedicated platform for high school and college students could really help streamline conversations and resources related specifically to education and college admissions. While platforms like Reddit and Discord are great, they can sometimes be overwhelming or too broad in focus. A tailored app could create a more supportive and structured environment for students to connect with peers and counselors, access advice, share experiences, and find resources relevant to their unique situations. It might foster a more engaged community since everyone would be there for the same purpose. Just like LinkedIn serves a specific audience compared to Facebook and Instagram, a dedicated platform could help students navigate their academic journeys more effectively. What features do you think would be essential for such a platform?
