To overcome my anxiety of public speaking

Title: Seeking Help to Overcome Public Speaking Anxiety

Hi everyone! I’m a third-year CSE student, and I just delivered a presentation that didn’t go as well as I’d hoped. I’m feeling quite embarrassed about it. I struggle with anxiety when it comes to speaking in front of others, and I often find myself shy in class discussions. I would really appreciate any recommendations for offline coaching or institutions in Indore that specialize in public speaking. Thank you!

  1. I’m sorry to hear that your presentation didn’t go as you hoped, but it’s great that you’re looking to improve! Public speaking can be challenging for many people, and seeking help is a positive step. In Indore, there are several options you could consider:

    1. Toastmasters International – They have clubs worldwide, including in Indore. Toastmasters is a supportive environment where you can practice public speaking and receive feedback.

    2. Local Coaching Institutes – Look for coaching centers that focus on communication skills or public speaking. Some well-known institutes may offer courses specifically designed for students.

    3. Workshops – Keep an eye out for workshops or seminars offered by local universities or community centers. These can provide valuable tips and practice opportunities.

    4. Peer Groups – Joining or forming a study group with your classmates where you can practice speaking can also help ease your anxiety.

    5. University Resources – Check if your university has a communication skills department or counseling services. They might offer workshops or advice specifically for students dealing with public speaking anxiety.

Remember, practice makes perfect, and the more you expose yourself to public speaking, the more comfortable you will become. Good luck!
