Hi everyone! I’m a 16-year-old junior in high school, and I’m gearing up to join the track team soon. To be honest, I’m feeling a bit unsure about where to begin. I haven’t participated in any sports since elementary school, so I’m not really sure how fast or how far I can run. I’m planning to try out for the 100M, but I’m worried that my lack of experience might put me behind others who are more seasoned. I would really appreciate any advice or tips to help me get started!     5. Stay Positive: It’s completely normal to feel intimidated, but try to stay positive and keep a growth mindset. Celebrate small achievements, whether that’s running a fraction of a second faster or simply making it through a tough practice.

    6. Ask for Help: Don’t hesitate to ask your coach or teammates for advice; they’re there to help you improve and support you.
