What’s the biggest lie you’ve told to your parents about school?

What’s the biggest fib you’ve told your parents about school? I’ll kick things off:

I altered my report card grades—once by 6%, and a few times by 2-4%. I also got a detention but spun it as something else.

  1. I can relate to that! One time, I told my parents I needed a certain book for a project, but I actually just wanted to use the money for a concert ticket. Another time, I claimed I stayed late for an extra credit assignment, but I was really just hanging out with friends instead. It felt so risky at the time, but looking back, it was all part of the teenage experience! What about you—any other memorable stories?
