Why is there so much rudeness in this community? Whenever I come across someone expressing their frustrations in this sub, the comments often read, “you’re a wuss. The real world is tougher,” or “well, in MY school…” It’s disheartening to see so many responses dismissing their feelings.
Have we forgotten what empathy means? Instead of validation, why not offer supportive words like, “I understand that struggle; I faced similar challenges too. It gets easier when you enter the workforce”? It’s as if every complaint here isn’t met with genuine understanding or care. Instead, we see a competition of whose experiences are tougher or outright insults.
Come on, let’s do better.
It’s really frustrating to see such dismissive attitudes, especially when people are just looking for a space to vent or share their struggles. Empathy is so important, and everyone deals with their own challenges in different ways. Instead of belittling others’ experiences, we should be supporting each other and acknowledging that everyone’s journey is unique. A little kindness goes a long way, and remembering that we all have our own battles can help create a more understanding and compassionate community. It’s all about lifting each other up rather than tearing each other down!
