62 absences

62 absences
Am I in trouble? I haven’t kept up with my schoolwork, and my attendance is getting worse. I believe that if I work really hard, I can catch up on what I’ve missed and not be too far behind. Unfortunately, I haven’t logged into my school Chromebook in about three weeks, and I think I might be locked out. I just want to pass. I struggle with my mental health, and getting good grades feels out of reach, but I’m determined to at least achieve a passing grade.

  1. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed when you’re facing such a tough situation, but it’s great that you’re expressing your desire to catch up. First, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone; many students face similar challenges, especially when it comes to mental health. Here are a few steps you can take to get back on track:

    1. Reach Out for Help: Talk to a teacher or school counselor about your situation. They can help you understand your options and might provide resources to support you academically and mentally.

    2. Prioritize Your Well-Being: Focus on your mental health first. It’s hard to catch up on schoolwork if you’re not feeling your best. Find small ways to take care of yourself, even if it’s just going for a walk or practicing relaxation techniques.

    3. Set Small Goals: Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, set small, achievable goals for catching up. This might be as simple as logging into your Chromebook and looking at one assignment each day.

    4. Create a Schedule: Once you’re logged in, create a realistic plan for catching up on your assignments. Break it down into manageable chunks so it feels less daunting.

    5. Be Patient with Yourself: Remember that it’s okay to ask for extensions or additional support. Your health and well-being should come first, and catching up can take time.

It’s a tough journey, but with some steps and the right support, you can find a way to pass and take care of yourself at the same time. You’ve got this!

Pre-calc is really challenging for me right now. I recently moved to the U.S. from a country where I followed the IGCSE curriculum, and honestly, it was way easier! is this age gap weird??

Is this age gap strange? Just to give you some context: I’m in Year 9 and I have a crush on a guy in Year 10. Normally, I wouldn’t think much about the grade difference, but since we attend different schools, the ages aren’t aligned. I’ll be turning 14 soon, and he’s turning 16 this […]
