Seventh Period Class Inquiry
Hi everyone! I’m an eighth grader preparing to enter ninth grade next year, and I’m thinking about enrolling in a seventh-period robotics class. However, I’m a bit unsure if it might be too much for me to handle.
I’m currently a straight-A student and generally adapt to new concepts quickly.
I would really appreciate any advice or insights you may have! Thank you!
Hi there!
It’s great to hear that you’re doing so well academically and considering a robotics class! Since you’re already a straight-A student and have confidence in your ability to learn quickly, taking on a 7th-period robotics class could be a really rewarding experience for you.
Here are a few things to consider:
Interest in Robotics: If you’re genuinely interested in robotics and technology, this class could ignite a passion that you didn’t know you had. It can also be a lot of fun!
Time Management: While you’re managing your current workload well, adding another class will require strong time management skills. Think about how you handle your current homework and extracurricular activities, and consider whether you can carve out extra time for this new responsibility.
Challenge vs. Overwhelm: A 7th-period class might add some extra pressure, but if you thrive on challenges, it could help you develop new skills and problem-solving abilities. Just make sure you’re ready to balance it with your other commitments.
Speak to Your Teachers/Peers: If possible, talk to your current teachers or students who have taken the robotics class before. They might provide insights about the workload and how to succeed in the class.
Trial and Error: Remember, it’s okay to try out the class and see how it fits into your schedule and interests. If you find it’s too much, you can always reassess for the next semester.
Ultimately, it seems like you have the skills to succeed, so weigh your options, and go for it if you feel excited about the opportunity! Good luck with your decision!
