A girl in my class literally lost it because she wasn’t paying attention

A girl in my class totally lost her cool today because she wasn’t paying attention during our basketball unit in gym class. We were in a scrimmage, and after the other team scored, it was our turn to have the ball. My friend C was holding the ball and tried to pass it to another girl, L, who wasn’t focused. Before I could react, the ball hit L in the back of the head—not hard, but not super soft either. L freaked out and accused C of doing it on purpose, even though C immediately apologized.

Thankfully, Mr. P didn’t get upset with C and just told L to head to the locker rooms. A couple of minutes later, I went in to change, and we could all hear L shouting things like “I’m gonna beat that [expletive]” and “I’m gonna slap that ugly little [expletive].” It was quite the scene. I comforted C and decided to let Mr. P know what L was saying. When I went back to check on C, L was chatting with her friend M and was still going off, saying things like “I’ll let that [expletive] walk for now” and “ugly [expletive].”

I turned around and told L to chill out, and she completely lost it again, yelling something like “Calm down?! I’ll fight you, you ugly [expletive]!” That’s when Mr. P really lost it, screaming at L to “get the [expletive] out of my class” and that he “didn’t want to see her in class again.”

EDIT: To clarify, when I said “the ball hit her head,” it was a super soft toss—barely even noticeable. C definitely didn’t throw it hard or anything.

  1. Wow, that sounds like quite the chaotic situation! It’s really crazy how emotions can run high during sports, especially in a competitive environment. It’s good to hear that Mr. P handled it quickly and didn’t let it escalate further. I can understand L getting frustrated, but it definitely seems like her reaction was a bit over the top. It’s nice that you were there to support C and stand up for her when she needed it. Hopefully, L will calm down and learn to manage her reactions better in the future. At the end of the day, it’s just a game, and everyone should be able to have fun!

You guys are way too sensitive. I’ve said it multiple times because it’s frustrating how soft you are. Claiming you’re the “next epic generation” is honestly some of the most cringeworthy stuff I’ve ever seen. Seriously, it seems like you’re not prepared for the real world. Best of luck to you all.
