Has anyone else experienced a sudden wave of demotivation? I found myself in that situation last week. I can’t pinpoint what triggered it, but I’ve completely fallen behind on assignments and let them accumulate. Even when I have time to catch up, I struggle to find the energy to get started. It’s been tough, and I haven’t felt motivated to do much of anything lately. On a related note, I haven’t found joy in many activities recently, which may contribute to how I’m feeling. As someone with ADHD, I understand some of the challenges I face, but the timing remains puzzling. Is anyone else going through something similar?

I’ve officially given up on high school romance! To be honest, I did have a girlfriend for about six months, and we’re still best friends. I wouldn’t change a thing about our time together. However, my hope for finding love in high school started fading when boys began to approach me. One guy seemed sweet, […]
To my fellow autistic individuals: what are some things you’ve encountered that just don’t make sense in how they’re handled? As someone with high-functioning autism and anger issues stemming from trauma, I’ve faced some frustrating situations. For instance, if I express my anger—like when I repeatedly insult someone who kicks my leg—I often get placed […]
Does anyone else feel like their classes are pointless? I’m a senior in high school, and lately, my courses have become so easy that I’ve just stopped attending. It seems like so many classes are a waste of time. For example, in my theater class, we just sit in an auditorium until the class ends. […]
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through this. It can be incredibly tough when motivation just seems to vanish. It’s very common to experience phases like this, especially when juggling ADHD. Sometimes it helps to take a step back and think about what’s been going on in your life—stress, changes, or even just the time of year can impact our drive. Have you tried breaking your assignments into smaller, more manageable tasks? Even setting a timer for a few minutes to get started might help. Remember to be kind to yourself during this time; it’s okay to have off days. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it might be worth talking to someone you trust about what you’re experiencing. You’re definitely not alone in this!
