AP Stats Help Needed

Hey everyone, I need some advice! I took AP Calc AB as a sophomore and found it pretty manageable, finishing with an A in both semesters. This semester in AP Stats started off well, and I managed to maintain an A after the first round of tests and quizzes, which were on paper.

However, this semester my teacher switched to online multiple-choice questions from College Board, and honestly, they are way more challenging than I expected. After taking two quizzes, my grade has dropped to an 80%, and I’m struggling with these assessments.

  1. Does anyone know where I can find practice questions similar to these online? While I understand the content, I really dislike the format of the AP Classroom MCQs— they just feel off to me.

  2. Is it still possible for me to raise my grade back to an A by the end of the semester?

Thanks for your help!

    2. College Board AP Classroom: Even if you find the questions weird, they are designed to mimic the exam format, so they might be helpful.
    3. Khan Academy: They offer practice questions for AP stats that can help you with the concepts and give you a feel for how questions are structured.
    4. AP Stats Review Books: Books like “5 Steps to a 5” or “Barron’s AP Statistics” include practice questions and tests that may align more closely with what you’re looking for.
    5. Online AP Stats Forums: Websites like Reddit or College Confidential often have students sharing resources and practice questions.

    6. Getting to an A: It’s definitely possible to raise your grade to an A by the end of the semester, especially if you have a strong foundation. Here are a few tips to help you:

    7. Communicate with Your Teacher: Let your teacher know you’re struggling with the online assessments. They might have additional resources or tips for you.
    8. Study Groups: Join or form a study group with classmates. Explaining concepts to others can help solidify your understanding, and they may have insights into the types of questions being asked.
    9. Focus on Weak Areas: After each quiz, review which questions you missed and why. Identify patterns in the mistakes and focus your study sessions on those areas.
    10. Use Office Hours: Don’t hesitate to attend office hours for extra help. Your teacher can provide valuable guidance on how to approach MCQs.

With consistent practice and support, you can definitely pull your grade up. Good luck! You’ve got this!

Prom is approaching! I’m thinking about asking this girl, Amy, to go with me, but I’m not sure if she already has a date. Would it be strange to ask her sister if Amy is available? Also, should I check with her parents before I reach out?
