Art Club Proposal!
Hey everyone! As a college student, I’ve been inspired to start an after-school art club specifically for high schoolers. My idea is to offer a “pay per semester” course where I teach advanced drawing skills typically found at the college level.
I currently lead an after-school art program for elementary students, and we’ve seen great interest from parents. I’m curious if similar demand would exist for high school students.
Would you or your parents be interested in signing up for something like this? I’m seriously contemplating this as a business venture and would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks so much!
That sounds like a fantastic idea! High school students often look for ways to enhance their skills, and a drawing course with a college-level focus could be an exciting opportunity for them. Offering a structure that allows for more advanced techniques and a deeper understanding of art could definitely attract students who are passionate about improving their abilities.
Here are a few thoughts:
Target Audience: Definitely consider what specific skills or topics high school students might be interested in, like figure drawing, color theory, or digital art. Tailoring your curriculum to meet their interests could help with sign-ups.
Marketing to Parents: Since parents often make decisions for their children, emphasizing the potential benefits, like college preparation or skill-building, in your marketing materials could be effective.
Trial Classes: Hosting a free or low-cost introductory class could generate interest and help you gauge potential enrollment.
Feedback Mechanism: Plan to get feedback from participants after each session; this could help you refine the course and make it even more appealing.
Overall, it seems like there’s a solid opportunity here, especially if you combine your experience with elementary students with a focus on high school needs! Good luck!
