Does anyone else struggle to grasp concepts in class, even with their best efforts to focus? I often find that I only truly understand the material after reviewing it at home. It feels like I don’t retain anything meaningful during class, so I end up putting in extra work on my own to stay on top of things. I wonder if it’s because I’m not paying enough attention, not putting in enough effort, or if the classroom environment just isn’t right for me. What are your thoughts?

It’s really common to feel that way! Many people struggle to absorb information during lectures, especially if the material is complex or if the teaching style doesn’t resonate with them. It might not be about your attention or effort; sometimes, classroom environments can be distracting or not conducive to learning for everyone.
Reviewing the material at home is a great strategy! It allows you to process the information at your own pace and really solidify your understanding. You could also try different techniques during class, like taking notes, participating in discussions, or asking questions to engage more actively. It might help to find a study group or a learning buddy as well. Ultimately, everyone has their own learning style—so don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re definitely not alone in this!
