Does anyone else struggle to grasp concepts in class, even with their best efforts to focus? I often find that I only truly understand the material after reviewing it at home. It feels like I don’t retain anything meaningful during class, so I end up putting in extra work on my own to stay on top of things. I wonder if it’s because I’m not paying enough attention, not putting in enough effort, or if the classroom environment just isn’t right for me. What are your thoughts?

How do you get back on track after being sick? I’ve been unwell for the last three days and ended up missing two science classes and two history classes. I’m feeling really overwhelmed with all the new material we’ve started in both subjects. I’m not sure where to begin, and it honestly makes me feel […]
No senior yearbook
No Yearbook This Year I’ve received a yearbook every year throughout school, but this year, my school has decided against it. I honestly don’t understand why, especially since there are plenty of students eager to help put one together. It’s really disappointing to think that I won’t have a yearbook for my senior year, especially […]
How do you all cope with school? I’m a freshman right now and honestly, I really dislike it. There’s just so much homework, and for what? Just to get into college or land a good job? When does it all come to an end? What’s the point? I find it hard to stay motivated when […]
It’s really common to feel that way! Many people struggle to absorb information during lectures, especially if the material is complex or if the teaching style doesn’t resonate with them. It might not be about your attention or effort; sometimes, classroom environments can be distracting or not conducive to learning for everyone.
Reviewing the material at home is a great strategy! It allows you to process the information at your own pace and really solidify your understanding. You could also try different techniques during class, like taking notes, participating in discussions, or asking questions to engage more actively. It might help to find a study group or a learning buddy as well. Ultimately, everyone has their own learning style—so don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re definitely not alone in this!
