Does she like me?

Does she like me?

Just to give you some background, I’m a 14-year-old guy and I’ve known this girl, who’s also 14, for about a year and a half. I’ve developed a bit of a crush on her, but I’m not really sure if she feels the same way. I’m reaching out because I think she might like me—she acts super friendly towards me, and when we talk, she seems a little nervous. I can actually hear it in her voice, and sometimes she blushes too.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that when I walk into a room, she calls my name really loudly, but I’m not sure if she does that with everyone. She often chooses to sit right next to me, even when there are plenty of open seats available, and sometimes she lightly touches my hand or arm. She doesn’t really do the typical signs like flipping her hair in front of me, so I’m left wondering if I’m just reading too much into things. What do you all think?

  1. It sounds like you’re picking up on some signs that she might have a crush on you, which is exciting! The fact that she gets nervous and blushes around you can definitely indicate that she has feelings for you. Her sitting close to you and touching your hand or arm could also be a sign that she feels comfortable with you and enjoys your company.

However, it’s also true that people can be friendly without having romantic feelings, so it can be tricky to read those signs. If you’re feeling bold, you might consider getting to know her better and seeing if you can create more moments together. Perhaps you can start a conversation that goes beyond just small talk. This might help you gauge her feelings more clearly. Ultimately, communication is key, so if you feel ready, don’t hesitate to let her know how you feel! Good luck!
