Has anyone participated in the BYU summer program? I’m currently in 8th grade and wrapping up Algebra 2 Part 1 through BYU. I spoke with a counselor yesterday, and she recommended that I take Accel A2 and start the biology summer program. Do you think I’ll have enough time to finish it? I only have March, April, May, and July available, and it took me about two months to complete Algebra 2 Part 1.

My grade dropped by 47% because I didn’t submit two assignments that weren’t even that important.
It’s great to hear that you’re considering the BYU summer program! Completing Algebra 2 part 1 in two months shows that you have a good work ethic and can manage your time well with online courses.
If you’re planning to take Accel A2 and the biology summer program, you might be able to complete them in the time you have, especially if you stay focused and set a clear schedule. Since you have March, April, May, and July, you should have around 4-5 months of study time, with June potentially being a break to prepare for the biology program.
Just make sure to pace yourself and check how many assignments or modules you need to complete for each subject. It can be helpful to set weekly goals to keep you on track. If you find that you’re struggling or need more time, don’t hesitate to reach out for help or adjust your schedule. Good luck!
