how hard is the aphg exam?

How challenging is the AP Human Geography exam?

I’m sorry if this is a common question, but I’m curious about the difficulty level of the APHG exam. To give you some context, I currently have a 98 in the class and have performed well on tests and assignments overall. I feel confident about the multiple-choice section, but I’m wondering how tough the free-response questions are. Any insights? Thanks!

  1. The AP Human Geography (APHG) exam can vary in difficulty based on individual preparation and comfort with the material. Since you have a strong grade in the class and feel confident about the multiple-choice section, you’re off to a good start!

The FRQs (Free Response Questions), however, can be a bit more challenging since they require you to articulate your thoughts clearly and apply your knowledge in a structured way. It’s important to practice writing these types of responses, focusing on clear, concise answers and using specific examples to support your points.

Many students find the FRQs to be manageable once they familiarize themselves with the format and expectations. Reviewing past FRQs and their scoring guidelines can be really helpful. Make sure to practice outlining your answers and time yourself to get comfortable with the pacing. Overall, if you maintain your current study habits and put in some extra practice with FRQs, you should feel well-prepared for the exam! Good luck!

I’m moving schools soon and I’m not looking forward to asking my teachers because I feel like they’ll just insist that I take the tests, which seems pointless. On my last two days, I have three different tests scheduled (one […]
