I hate schoolwork

I’m really struggling with schoolwork right now. I’ve got a ton of assignments piling up for my classes, and I just don’t have the motivation to tackle it all. It feels overwhelming, and I’m worried I won’t be able to improve my English and Earth and Space Science grades, which are actually my favorite subjects. I can’t seem to focus at all; I find it hard to sit still and end up getting distracted easily. I constantly crave some fun, as the school environment just doesn’t feel stimulating, except for my fitness walking—though that loses its appeal after a while too.

Honestly, I’m feeling really down about everything.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed with schoolwork, especially when it’s piling up and you have subjects you actually enjoy. Try breaking your tasks into smaller, more manageable pieces. Instead of tackling everything at once, focus on one assignment at a time. Setting a timer for short study sessions followed by brief breaks can help keep you focused without feeling overwhelmed.

Also, don’t forget to give yourself some credit for the work you do get done! It’s okay to feel distracted sometimes; you could try finding a quiet study space or change your environment to keep things fresh. And remember, it’s okay to reach out for support, whether it’s friends, family, or your teachers—sometimes they can offer helpful strategies or even extensions if needed. Hang in there, you’ve got this!
