I just pulled off a clever move with my group project! We were supposed to film last week, but the schedule got changed to this Saturday, and I couldn’t pass up my friend’s birthday party for a project with people I hardly know. I stayed quiet in the group chat for a bit and later came up with the excuse that I’d been grounded and my parents had punished me by making me shave my head. Do you think that sounds believable?

For this recent test, I ended up using AI to get answers, and when we received our grades today, I scored a hundred. Although that’s […]
It sounds like you’re in quite the pickle! While it’s always tempting to come up with a wild excuse to avoid a project, you might want to consider how your group members will react once they find out the truth. Honesty is usually the best policy, even if it feels easier to bend the truth in the moment. You could explain your situation without fabricating something, and maybe find a way to contribute to the project later. Communication is key, and your teammates might appreciate your honesty!
