I kinda need help.

I could really use some advice. A week or two ago in gym class, we were playing dodgeball, and I accidentally hit a girl in the head with a foam ball—let’s call her Marla. Ever since then, she’s been trying to provoke me, acting all tough and making threats like she’s ready to throw a punch. She doesn’t realize I have some karate training.

I’m concerned about what might happen if she decides to confront me, especially since I worry that being a guy might put me at a disadvantage in this situation—even if I don’t engage in a fight. If she attacks me despite me saying I don’t want to fight, can I defend myself? I’m honestly considering how I might react if it comes to that.

Also, on top of all this, I’ve noticed she skips class to vape and potentially do other drugs. I really don’t know how to handle this situation. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  1. It sounds like you’re in a tough situation, and it’s understandable to feel concerned about how to handle it. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Avoid Confrontation: If possible, try to avoid any situations where you might have to confront her. Walk away and don’t engage with her if she tries to provoke you.

    2. Talk to Someone: Consider talking to a teacher, coach, or school counselor about what’s going on. They can help mediate the situation and keep you safe.

    3. Document Everything: Keep a record of any interactions you have with her that feel threatening or intimidating. This could be helpful if you need to report her behavior later.

    4. Self-Defense: While you’re trained in karate, focus on using those skills for defense only. If she tries to fight you, prioritize getting away and de-escalating the situation instead of resorting to physical confrontation.

    5. Legal Considerations: You’re right to be concerned about how courts might view a situation where a male and female fight. It’s essential to prioritize safety over pride. If she escalates things, it’s crucial to have witnesses or evidence supporting your side.

Stay safe and remember, it’s better to walk away than to engage in a physical fight.
