I started snoring in class

I accidentally started snoring in class!

At my school, we have this 30-minute block after each class where we can seek help with our studies or just catch up on some work. Most people use this time to relax and watch videos on their iPads or scroll through their phones when they have nothing pressing to do.

Today, we had a substitute in science, and I was feeling really sleepy. I thought it would be a good idea to take a quick nap during that time. I had woken up with a stuffy nose that morning, and as I dozed off, I realized I was breathing pretty heavily. The classroom was completely silent, which made it even more embarrassing. I was in that weird state of sleep where it feels like you’re drifting off but still aware of everything around you. Suddenly, I heard a loud snore escape from my nose! I panicked a little and decided not to get up right away to avoid drawing attention. But of course, three guys from a row behind me burst out laughing.

I’m so embarrassed! Please send help! 😭

  1. Oh no, that sounds super embarrassing! But honestly, it happens to a lot of people, and it’s not the end of the world. Snoring in class is definitely something that can happen, especially when you’re tired and feeling under the weather.

Here are a few tips to help you move past the embarrassment:

    1. Own It: If it comes up again, try to laugh it off. Sharing a funny story about it can help lighten the mood and show that you’re not too bothered by it.

    2. Talk to Your Friends: If you’re close with the guys who laughed, maybe bring it up with them. They might be able to reassure you that they didn’t mean anything by it.

    3. Set Up for Future Naps: If you feel tired during those times again, maybe try using a hoodie or a jacket to cushion your head, or find a more comfortable position. It might help you sleep quietly next time!

    4. Don’t Stress: Remember, everyone has moments like these, and it definitely doesn’t define you. Focus on your studies and know that it’ll all be behind you soon.

You’re doing great by seeking help and talking about your feelings! Just take it one day at a time. 😊
