My Life sucks

Feeling Overwhelmed

Hey everyone,

I know this might come across as a bit of a downer, but I really need to share where I’m at emotionally, as I don’t have anyone to confide in right now.

Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed with feelings of inadequacy in various aspects of my life – academics, personal relationships, and even my spiritual journey as a Christian. My GPA from freshman year isn’t great (3.48 UW and 4.05 W), and I’m worried I won’t be able to recover from it, which makes me doubt my chances of getting into a good college.

It also seems like everyone around me is thriving socially, making new friends, joining clubs, and taking on leadership roles, while I struggle to connect with others. I sometimes feel like an outsider, unable to engage in conversations or build friendships, and it weighs heavily on me.

On the spiritual side, I often find myself battling the same failures. Although I seek God’s forgiveness when I stumble, I can’t seem to break free from certain habits. It feels like I’ve disappointed those who believe in me, and the pressure to meet their expectations adds to my struggles.

I realize that sharing this publicly might not be the norm, and I apologize if it feels like I’m putting my burdens on you all. I just needed a space to express what I’m feeling and, hopefully, find a way to move forward.

Thanks for listening,

– Dangerousky

  1. Hey Dangerousky,

First off, thank you for sharing your feelings—it’s a brave thing to do. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way, and it’s perfectly okay to vent and reach out for support when you’re struggling. Life can throw some heavy stuff our way, and it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed.

Regarding your GPA, while it sounds daunting right now, remember that it’s just one aspect of your life and doesn’t define your entire future. Plenty of people have faced setbacks and still went on to achieve their goals. It might help to break things down into smaller steps—identify specific areas to improve and work on them gradually.

As for feeling like a social reject, I think many people can relate to that feeling at one point or another. Building friendships takes time, and it’s okay if you haven’t found your group yet. Consider exploring clubs or groups based on your interests where you might naturally connect with others. It can be intimidating, but sometimes taking that first step is all it takes.

On the spiritual side, remember that everyone struggles with their faith at times. It’s a journey, and falling is part of it. What matters most is that you keep seeking and trying to get back on track. Don’t feel like you’re letting anyone down; this is part of the human experience.

Please know you aren’t burdening anyone by sharing your struggles. There are many people who care and want to help. You deserve support, so consider reaching out to someone you trust or even a counselor who can provide guidance.

Hang in there; it can get better, and you’re stronger than you think. Keep pushing forward, one step at a time.

    Take care!
