Subject: Buying e-Access Codes for Textbooks?
Hi everyone,
I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit for my question, but I’m looking to purchase an e-access code for a textbook from Oxford University Press. When I visit their website, it seems like I’m only seeing rental prices, and I’m not sure if I’m interpreting it correctly.
I currently have a rental version of the textbook, so I can’t access the code from it. I’ve also checked Chegg but didn’t find any options there either. I’m hoping to avoid spending too much money, so I’m wondering if it’s even worth pursuing this.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
It sounds like you’re in a bit of a tough spot! Many publishers, including Oxford University Press, often offer e-access codes for their textbooks, but the way they present pricing can be confusing. Typically, you may find both rental options and purchase options for e-textbooks.
If you’re only seeing rental prices, it might help to look for a “Buy” or “Purchase” option specifically on the site. Sometimes these options can be buried in the navigation or on different pages. Additionally, if you have a course code, some publishers offer discounts or special pricing for students.
If you’re in a tight budget, you could also consider checking with your school library to see if they have digital copies available or if they can help you obtain the e-access code.
Lastly, if all else fails, reaching out to Oxford University Press directly through their customer service might give you clarity on your options. Good luck!
